Clay Cottages

In addition to our bush camp (visit our Camping page), Doringkloof offers two quaint cottages built of wood and clay in the traditional style of the old farm dwellers.

These cottages have cement floors, electricity, bathrooms with a hot water shower each and come fully equipped with bedding and kitchen necessities.  A taste of the old days without the discomfort.

Each of the two cottages has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with both a single bed and two bunks.  Each has a bathroom, kitchen and a sitting area.  Connecting the two cottages is a cosy undercover area with a built-in braai.

Enjoy the magnificent view of the mountains over well-established vlei lands.

98 km from Willowmore, 116 from Patensie, 11 from the western gate to the Wilderness Area, right in the heart of the Baviaanskloof.
 

Lakeside Chalets

To one side of the camping area, tucked among the trees and with peaceful views across the dam are two neat wooden chalets.

Each chalet sleeps two with an en-suite shower, toilet and hand basin.

Each chalet also comes with a kitchen with all the necessities for a self-catering stay.

These chalets represent the ideal alternative for a couple seeking an economical place to stay in the Baviaanskloof without the need for camping equipment.

Joachimskraal Self Catering Guesthouse

Joachimskraal is a comfortable and spacious farm house, fully equipped to accommodate up to fourteen people.

Among the bedrooms are three double bedrooms, two of which have  their own bathrooms.

The house has lovely views onto the mountains, is both private and restful and yet is only 1.2 km from the main Baviaanskloof road. 

Close to our hiking and 4x4 trails, and with swimming available at the bush camp, Joachimskraal is perfect for extended farm holidays.
